WCCS Crowns Homecoming King and Queen

SELMA (Feb. 6, 2010) — Javarus Smith of Selma and Shantara Newkirk of Camden were named Homecoming King and Queen at the WCCS Homecoming Basketball game held on Saturday, February 6, 2010.

Smith is the son of Jerry and Cassandra Smith. Upon completion of his Associate in Science degree in Electrical technology, he plans to transfer to either Alabama State University or Alabama A&M University and pursue a career in Electrical engineering. Newkirk, is the daughter of Henry and Celestine Hester. Upon completion of her Associate Degree in Nursing, she plans to work as a registered nurse.
